Summary Description: The Department of Health Policy and Management of Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health seeks applicants for a faculty position in Economics/Health Care Finance at the assistant or associate professor level, beginning 09/01/2010. We seek scholars with a doctoral degree in economics/finance who will be able to conduct research in health economics or health care financial management and teach master degree courses in health care managerial accounting and financial management.
Minimum Qualifications: Tenure track: At the assistant professor level, the department requires potential for excellence in teaching and research, and ability to secure independent funding. Tenure: At the associate or full professor level, the department requires a strong teaching, research and publication record in addition to the ability to secure independent funding.
Preferred Qualifications: As a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Council of Ivy Group Presidents (Ivy League), it is imperative that members of the Columbia University community, in all matters related to the intercollegiate athletics program, exhibit the highest professional standards and ethical behavior with regard to adherence to NCAA, Conference, University, and Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Physical Education rules and regulations.
