POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

Assistant Professor, The Consultation Center and the Division of Prevention and Community Research, Department of Psychiatry, Yale University School of Medicine as of January 1, 2010, to lead a program on male development based on ecological and life span developmental theories in order to develop community-based prevention and health promotion programs, consultation, research, and training with an emphasis on: 1) promoting men's roles as fathers; 2) developing and evaluating community-based programs involving men's relationship with their intimate partners, with an emphasis on the prevention of intimate partner violence; and 3) understanding and addressing men's relationship within the broader community, including their involvement in health, behavioral health, social service, and criminal justice settings. The position includes mentorship of pre- and postdoctoral fellows as well as supervision of program and research staff. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in community, clinical, or counseling psychology or related field; postdoctoral experience; demonstrated ability to secure external funding; and be licensed or license-eligible.
