Summary Description: The Graduate School of Business at Columbia University is seeking to fill at least one faculty position. The appointment may be at the assistant, associate, or full professor level, depending on the qualifications of the candidate. Specialists in any field of financial economics are invited to apply. All junior applicants should have or be close to completing PhD from an accredited institution and should have strong research background or demonstrate substantial potential for performing important academic research in a field with relevance to business practice. We are looking for an outstanding person with evidence of a strong commitment to both teaching and research. A candidate who is close to completing a Ph.D. will be appointed as an instructor until the semester after completion of the Ph.D. All senior applicants should have an outstanding record of scholarship. In addition, we will consider applications for one-year visiting faculty positions in this area. Appointments for one-year visiting faculty position may be made in the grades of visiting professor, visiting associate professor, and visiting assistant professor, depending on the qualification of the candidate.
Minimum Qualifications: All junior applicants must have strong research backgrounds or demonstrate substantial potential for performing important academic research in a field with relevance to business practice. Successful applicants will also demonstrate the potential to teach effectively in a MBA classroom. All senior applicants must have a proven record of strong research and exceptional teaching records
